Best hospitals in the world?

Whenever I get into arguments about health care. One of the first rationales proffered for our excessive expenditures is that we "have the bestest hospitals in the world". Generally I just state that yes, we do have some of the finest hospitals in the world, but in the aggregate we are not getting much better care for the money we spend. This is generally met with derision, cause everything the US does is "better". Even though we have demonstrable evidence that we could
be doing much more to bring down costs.

So that brings us to the chart of the day (via the Dish): How Hospitals Harm Us

Perfection

Sometimes in life you come across something that is absolutely perfect. This is one of those things!

A graphical representation of the differences between dork, nerdness, and dweebdom!

The perfect combination of semantic argument and Venn diagrams. I am pretty sure and angel got its wings when this graph was made.

Like a fine wine....

Now there are very few things that distract me from politics. But this article is one of them. It was a fun read and has charts, graphs and slidey thingamabobers! The basic gist is that guys should date older women. To prove its point, it gets all actuarial on your butt.

Mighty persuasive.

Anyway this post is for all my gal pals thinking about and dreading the march of time. Don't dread hun! You are just getting better!
